Barnton Dental Spa Scholarships
With oral health a growing concern in the UK, we at Barnton Dental Spa are on a mission to promote good oral health and educate people about simple steps they can take to keep their smile looking sensational.
As the most recent Children’s Dental Health Survey suggests that just under half of 15 year olds have signs of tooth decay, Barnton Dental Spa is launching a scholarship competition to raise awareness about the importance of oral hygiene and help keep dental issues at bay. We pride ourselves on preserving healthy smiles in Edinburgh, and we’re offering one lucky winner the chance to win £1,000 to help with higher education fees.
Who can enter?
The competition is open to students of all ages.
What do I need to do to enter?
We are asking for a creative piece of writing that focuses on healthy oral hygiene habits and steps you can take to protect your teeth and gums and keep your smile in check. The maximum word limit is 500 words, and we’re really keen to see submissions that focus on the benefits and importance of taking these steps.
How will the winner be chosen?
Our Barnton Dental Spa judging panel will select a winner based on the creativity and the accuracy of the piece. We’re looking for imaginative, engaging entries that also contain factual information.

When is the deadline?
Please ensure you send us your completed creative piece by midnight on the 10th August 2019 to be considered for the scholarship.
We at Barnton Dental Spa know that the level of quality of the submissions we receive will be incredibly high, and we will consider every individual application. We will take our time to read and evaluate every entry before deciding who will win the £1,000 prize. Once we’ve made our decision, we will announce the lucky winner.
